First Generation Eames Evans Birch plywood LCW, ca. 1949. Beautiful example of a rare and collectable first generation Charles Eames for Evans Birch Plywood LCW (lounge chair wood). This first generation is in very good original condition, with original shock mounts and the original 5-2-5 screw pattern that shows the authenticity of this piece. The paper Evans label is missing, however you can clearly see the outline of the original label shape as well as the stamped E9 under the seat. One of the most iconic chairs of the mid century modern movement this is definitely a collectors piece. Overall a 8.5/10 condition Measures 24.5″ D x 26.5″ H x 15.5″ Seat Height.

First Generation Eames Evans Birch plywood LCW, ca. 1949. Beautiful example of a rare and collectable first generation Charles Eames for Evans Birch Plywood LCW (lounge chair wood). This first generation is in very good original condition, with original shock mounts and the original 5-2-5 screw pattern that shows the authenticity of this piece. The paper Evans label is missing, however you can clearly see the outline of the original label shape as well as the stamped E9 under the seat. One of the most iconic chairs of the mid century modern movement this is definitely a collectors piece. Overall a 8.5/10 condition. Wear consistent with age and use. It does have some wear on one leg as shown and very very slight wear to the edges but no cracks or chips. The backrest does have some very slight uneven plywood at one seam, however it is intact and not lifting.
