Pair of ‘Feather’ task lamps by George Kovacs for Robert Sonneman, circa 1980. Beautiful rare ochre color with counterbalanced arm. Double switch for on-off and high-low settings. Original wiring uses a 2 pin halogen bulb. Very good original condition with original wiring. The “Feather” task lamp, which floats up or down and can circulate 360 degrees due to the lack of wiring. This feature and others earned the lamp a place in the Museum of Modern Art and Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry. Swing arm is 36″ long and articulates in every direction.
